Ingredients
Scale
- 1 block (8 ounces) Cream Cheese, softened to room temperature: Using full-fat cream cheese provides the richest flavor and creamiest texture. It’s crucial that it’s fully softened to prevent any lumps in your final dip.
- 1 jar (7 ounces) Marshmallow Creme (or Fluff): This is the key to the dip’s signature sweetness and light, airy texture. It transforms the tangy cream cheese into a sweet, cloud-like confection.
Instructions
- Prepare Your Ingredients: Ensure your block of cream cheese is fully softened to room temperature. This is the most critical step for achieving a perfectly smooth, lump-free dip. You can leave it on the counter for about an hour, or if you’re short on time, unwrap it and microwave it on a plate for 15-20 seconds.
- Combine in a Bowl: Place the softened cream cheese and the entire jar of marshmallow creme into a medium-sized mixing bowl.
- Mix Until Smooth: Using an electric hand mixer on medium speed, beat the cream cheese and marshmallow creme together. Start on a low speed to prevent the marshmallow fluff from flying out of the bowl, then increase to medium. Continue mixing for about 2-3 minutes, or until the mixture is completely smooth, creamy, and well combined. Scrape down the sides of the bowl with a spatula once or twice to ensure everything is incorporated. If you don’t have a hand mixer, a stand mixer with the paddle attachment works perfectly. You can also mix it by hand with a whisk, but it will require significant arm strength to get it completely smooth.
- Chill (Optional but Recommended): For the best flavor and texture, cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dip in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes. This allows the dip to firm up slightly and the flavors to meld together beautifully.
- Serve: Transfer the dip to a serving bowl and serve alongside your favorite fruits, cookies, and other dippables.
