How to Make Maple Butter Mashed Carrots
- Peel carrots until smooth, then slice into 1-inch-thick pieces.
- Place carrot pieces in a pot of salted water, bring to a rolling boil, then simmer gently for 15–20 minutes until fork-tender.
- Drain carrots well, then return them to the warm pot off the heat to steam-dry for 1–2 minutes.
- Add butter to the hot carrots and mash until you reach a creamy consistency.
- Drizzle pure maple syrup over the mash, stirring gently until fully integrated.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper, then transfer to serving dish and serve warm.
