Making the Glaze
  1. Melt the butter in a small saucepan over medium heat until it foams and takes on a light golden hue.
  2. Whisk in pure maple syrup, ground cinnamon, and black pepper, and simmer for about two minutes until thick and aromatic.
  3. Drizzle the warm maple glaze over the roasted sweet potatoes and bake for another 5-7 minutes until caramelized.
