  • 4 cups fresh broccoli florets steamed until just tender
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 10.5 oz cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp butter melted
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup extra shredded cheese
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. Steam broccoli in a steaming basket over boiling water until just tender (about 4 minutes).
  3. Make sauce by melting butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir in cream of mushroom soup, milk, minced garlic, onion powder, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Combine cooked rice, steamed broccoli, and sauce together in a large bowl until evenly coated.
  5. Transfer mixture to prepared baking dish, spreading into an even layer.
  6. Sprinkle breadcrumbs and extra shredded cheese on top.
  7. Bake uncovered at 350°F for 20–25 minutes until cheese is bubbling and topping is golden brown.
  8. Rest the casserole for 5 minutes before serving.
